Key Terms Maps

Below are two maps we created in class using key writing terms and sharing how they relate to one another. The first is my original key term map and the second is my updated version after several weeks of class.

I created the second map without looking at the first. Interestingly, some of the terms have carried over, but have been grouped together in different ways (audience, rhetoric). Many new and more nuanced terms have also been added (discourse community, literacy, genre expectations).

For my final map, my main terms are writing, rhetoric, discourse, process and identity. It's a little harder to read because I didn't use all the fancy colors : ) Again, many terms remained but they were reorganized as my thoughts changed.
